My friend made us a quilt for our baby which we cant use yet but I wanted to hang it on the wall. I dont want to puncture the edges with nails or tacs and was hoping there was a way to do this without damaging the quiltHow do you hang a baby quilt on the wall without using nails or tacs?
They make special quilt hangers, check at your local craft store. The ones I have are wood, that screw into the wall, and it has a marble in it - basically you put the quilt in there are the marble kind of wedges it into place... hard to describe, but if you just look around you can find a quilt hanger that won't damage the quilt.

you can use something like a towel bar for the bathroom, just paint it to match the decor.
3m double sided tape put it on the back of the quilt and to stick it to the wall
depending on the weight of the quilt, you can always use push pins
