I have a hang nail and it has become infected. What do I do? I have never had this happen before?

I soaked it today in very hot water and that has helped. Then I put Neosporin on it and bandaged it. Anything else I can do?I have a hang nail and it has become infected. What do I do? I have never had this happen before?
If it's not significantly better tomorrow, see a doctor.
