How come when you get a really deep hang-nail, that side of you finger is cold, and sometimes really warm?

I really dont understand why that happens....?

and sometimes pus comes out of it.

WHY?How come when you get a really deep hang-nail, that side of you finger is cold, and sometimes really warm?
you need to get that removed, the puss indicates an infection, and if your not careful that could lead to a fungal infection. as to the cold warm thing, its probably just a matter of blood circulation, when its irritated it'll swell, and blood circulation will be restricted so it will be cold. when swelling decreases blood circulation will increase and it'll get warm agian. i think...

good luck and go get that hang-nail cut off, you don't want it to get infected, my aunt got a fungal infection from one and it was nasty! How come when you get a really deep hang-nail, that side of you finger is cold, and sometimes really warm?
it gets warm because its swelling.....it's a wound...a small one...but a wound....

godo question about the cold..I have no idea..
