It's in the way you cut your nails, also no chewing on nails!
When your nail cuticles become dry or rough, painful and unsightly hangnails often form. Pamper your nails to keep them healthy and free of hangnails.

Instructions

* STEP 1: Give yourself regular manicures: Clean and trim your nails, brush your nails with a manicure brush, and push back cuticles with a cuticle stick. This removes excess skin that may later form hangnails.

* STEP 2: Use a cuticle moisturizer as needed throughout the day to keep your nails and cuticles moisturized and strong. Try an exfoliating lotion if your skin is particularly dry or roughened.

* STEP 3: Wear rubber gloves when washing dishes or doing housework. Hot water and various cleaning agents can dry out your hands and encourage hangnails. If possible, avoid soaking nails and cuticles in water, as this can weaken them.

* STEP 4: Don canvas gloves when gardening or doing other tasks that can roughen and dry out your hands, causing cuticles and nails to crack.

* STEP 5: Fight the urge to bite fingernails or hangnails. Such habits can aggravate the nail area and cause hangnails to bleed.

Tips %26amp; Warnings

* If you have extremely dry or rough hands, try applying moisturizer at night, then donning cotton gloves when you sleep.

Your diet is most likely deficient in minerals, especially calcium.
cut them once in a while
you file your nails...use nail strengthening pollish, remover, etc, and never mess with them..no biting peeling....and you have 2 be careful with them 2
Go to a good nail salon and get regular manicures. Hangnails often are a result of cuticle overgrowth. Get them clipped.
Avon sells a cream that stops them from growing. The other alternative is regular manicures.
Moisturize- there is lotion now for nails and cuticles. Use after washing hands. Don't pull at hangnails- just trim.
Moisturize your cuticles every day. First, clip your hangnails as close as you can without making them bleed, then rub in a good moisturizer into each cuticle and around each nail. Try a good quality lotion like Eucerin or Curel. You can also use olive oil or vitamin e oil. Do it every day though - especially before bed. Good luck.
Yes Do not bite your nalis and the skin around them that is what causes hangnails ladybug just try and stop that habit and they will not appear

The only way to get rid of them is to nip them with nippers
