What kind of nails can I use to hang something on a cinderblock wall?

I need to hang some clay suns on my backwall but the nails I have won't penetrate the wall. Matter of fact the nails bent when I hit them with the hammer. what is a recommended nail to use? What kind of nails can I use to hang something on a cinderblock wall?
Use small tap-cons. Go to the hardware store and buy a small pack of tap-cons that have a drill bit with it. You can then simply drill a small pilot hole for the tap-con(screw), then screw in the tap-con. Then hang whatever you like. What kind of nails can I use to hang something on a cinderblock wall?
You dont use nails first of all.

Second of all, you need to get a corded drill or a 19 volt cordless drill, something with some power. You need to get a masonary bit to go in the drill and predrill the holes. Then you need cement anchors (little plastic blue things usually that pop in the hole) and cement screws. You pop in the anchors and then get the right sized screw for the anchors and you can drill them into the wall with out a problem.
like someone else said, tapcons would be the way to go. they are usually blue, and are meant for being driven into concrete. they usualy come with a drill bit so its very easy.

i have a box of masonary nails though, and have hammered those into bricks before so i imagine it would work for concrete block.

the nails i have are long, blue smooth nails and say ';masonary'; on the box.
You need fluted masonry nails. dont try to drive them through the actual cinderblock. drive them through the mortar joint between the block. its a little softer.
go 2 home depot and rent a hammer drill,2 drill a hole then tell the guy u want epoxy 4 cinder block.. hell sell u sleeves and this awesome epoxy that u insert into the hole with a caulking gun . very simple
